Farmer FAQs

Yes! You can download your products, pricing, and inventory status as an Excel file (or CSV), edit the information as needed and then upload back to the site. This video shows how it's done.
Absolutely! The easiest way to do this is to add a random item to your Virtual Farmstand like "tomatoes." Then click on the edit button for that item. Click on the "Create Duplicate of this Item" green button in the upper left portion of your screen. Proceed to that copy of the item in your Virtual Farmstand and rename it with your produce name, e.g. "Mary's Homemade Salsa" and edit the pricing and quantities as needed. This video shows how to create a duplicate item. After you've created this new items, go ahead and delete the original item (tomatoes in thie example) if it's not something you sell in your Virtual Farmstand.
No! You can manage your items through bulk actions marking as many as you need to as "Available" or "Out-of-Stock" in one bulk action from your Dashboard. This Video demo of bulk action to change product status shows you how!
Very often Crop2Shop customers want to go straight to their preferred farmers and farmers prefer the same! It's easy to do!  Just navigate to your "Virtual Farmstand," and copy the URL from your browser window.  Then share that URL on your website, business cards, and social media to send your customers right to your site!  This video shows how to do it.
Yes! And without the web-hosting fees!  In addition to showing your available products with pricing and providing you with a fully functional e-commerce capability, you can customize your "Virtual Farmstand" to include your farm's logo, banner graphics and an "About Us" narrative for your farm.  This video shows how! Of course if you have a website you'd like to maintain, your Crop2Shop Virtual Farmstand is perfectly complementary with it.  You can even include a link to Crop2Shop on your website to help you manage your orders!
We understand!  Anytime is the best time to get started selling with Crop2Shop, but if you're too busy in the summer you can easily set up and maintain your Virtual Farmstand in the Winter.  Just add all of the items you anticipate selling in the coming year with pricing (even if tentatively) and quantities, but mark them as "Out of Stock."  Then as your products come in during the season, change the availability status and, as needed, the pricing.  Then you're ready to sell!  This video shows how!
Yes! This is also accomplished by creating a duplicate of an existing item then renaming it in your Virtual Farmstand. For example, to create an item of produce called "Organic Tomatoes," select "Tomatoes" from the available items. Then use the "Create a duplicate of this item" button to create a duplicate of that item. Then rename the duplicate to "Organic Tomatoes." You'll probably then want to delete the original item "Tomatoes" from your Virtual Farmstand. Please see this video for a very brief tutorial, showing the process.
Your customer is not able to checkout until s/he has communicated with you and confirmed the payment terms and delivery logistics. Once you've confirmed those logistics through the chat and your customer checks out, an order will appear under the "Orders" menu item on the left side of your dashboard. Click on that menu item and then the button for recent orders on the right side of the page. Then click on the "Complete Delivery" button next to any unfulfilled orders that appear in the window to confirm the transaction. This video tutorial shows how it's done.
Definitely! First create your first item showing your retail pricing (for example) and the appropriate pricing and quantities (e.g. "Ea" or "dozen," etc.) for that. Then use the "Create a duplicate of this item" button to create a duplicate. Then rename the duplicate (e.g. as "bulk" or "wholesale") for your wholesale pricing and show the appropriate pricing and quantities (e.g. "20-lb" etc.) for that item. Please see this video for a very brief tutorial.

Any product that you'd like to in your area!  Fresh fruit, vegetables and meat are the most frequent commodities offered.  But honey, maple syrup, eggs, jams, jellies and almost any other farm product can be offered through Crop2Shop! If you don't see it in the selection menu, tell us and we'll add it for you!
